Sans Pareil - The Finished Model

After weks of carving, filing, gluing, testing and painting the finish was in sight. Using spare gold band decals from a 1:1200 'Titanic' kit boiler bands were added, wheels and rods assembled and the assembly tested - to find it wouldn't move... After much scraping and filing of paint the fault was found; a piston slide was fractionally too wide causing siezing. Once the paint was touched up and a decal replaced the keeper plate was fitted, tender coupled and an N Gauge Sans Pareil was ready to fly - finished!

I hope people have found this series of images of interest and possibly even spur some of you on to trying scratch-building. If I can do it, so can you!
